Green School

Green Schools is an environmental education and management programme that promotes long-term, student-led action for a more sustainable world. It encourages schools to take a whole-school approach to environmental awareness by involving students, teachers, staff, parents, and the wider community. The programme follows a structured, seven-step framework that helps schools identify environmental issues, create action plans, and implement lasting changes. Through themes such as waste reduction, energy conservation, water management, sustainable travel, biodiversity, and global citizenship, Green-Schools helps young people develop responsibility, teamwork, and leadership skills while fostering a deeper respect for the environment.

Our Green Team

Our Green Team is part of the Green Schools initiative, a nationwide programme that encourages schools to take action for the environment. Our team is made up of enthusiastic children from First and Second Classes, who are passionate about helping our school become a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable place.

The Green Team meets every month to share ideas, plan new initiatives, and think about ways we can all make small changes that have a big impact on our planet. Each Green Team representative acts as a mentor and role model in their class and helps guide our younger pupils in the infant classes to make eco-friendly choices every day.

Together, the Green Team will be leading the way in showing how small hands can make a big difference!
